Hello All, Mum here, not good news I'm afraid, surgery is cancelled until Brad's temperature has come down and he has had a course of I.V. Antibiotics. After the end of this week Brad's surgeon is also away for two weeks, so at the moment, the earliest surgery can take place is now the 11th April, but it will depend on finding a slot after that - in the meantime he may have to pop back into UCH for another course of chemo to keep on top of the tumour while he waits for a surgery slot.
I'll let you all know if there is any change to this as soon as I hear anything.

Another change to the proceedings - Brad's temp is down, going onto oral antibi's tomo so shold be allowed home - fingers crosed!!! Mr Briggs has very kindly agreed with his team to come in from his holidays to do Brad's surgery on Monday, and Dr Whelan would rather not have Brad undergo another round of chemo and then wait for him to get his counts up again before surgery. So thats the story so far - it could very well change again!!!!!!

Spoke to Brad last night, he was on his 2nd unit of 4 units of blood that they had decided to give him, this always gives him a boost, and will give his blood counts a kick up the **** too.
