Hi All, we've settled in ok, in a side room this time, little more space and a better view!!
Brad has had his MRI scan this morning, this was the one to determine the route of his surgery, All is ok for this round, chemo should start running through about 5 this evening once bloods etc have come back.
Thankyou Shelly and Shannon for the diary for Brad, it's very interesting, although some of the tasks for each week are sure to get him in a bit of trouble, or worse - arrested!! Hope you are all ok, speak to you soon.
Mr Whelan has been round this lunchtime and has decided not to use the Etoposide on this round as Brad's tumour is reacting well to the treatment, and to try and reduce the problems Brad is having with neutropenia and infections.
Bye for now
Love Mikki and Brad. :-)

A meeting was held a few days ago with Mr Briggs the ortho at RNOH, they have agreed provisionally to use the Fibula from Brad's left leg to replace the damaged Tibia in his right leg, so unfortunately this means surgery on both legs at the same time!!
We should be home again on Sunday evening, so we'll update again when we get home.Bye for now
Love Mikki and Brad. :-)

Hi Brad&Mikki,All settled in and in a nice room again, its much better when you can have a room isn't it?and your own ensueit.I should think chemo is under way again by now,Only one more session after this one and they can get that rotten(whats left of him)Clifford sucker out of you.Glad they have desided to cut back on some of the chemo, perhaps that will stop you feeling so whiped out and hopefully keep you out of the in between hospital stays.Am going to have a couple of trial runs to the stanmore in readiness for your opp,so i can visit you plenty along with Rich, who plans to be with you for the duration.Rich and I will be up tommorow along with some goodies.Thinking of you as always with much love Nan xxxxxx
Hi, quick update....Brad won't be home until Monday evening, they would like to do a MUGA scan of his heart on Monday, he must have one before his op, and there isn't a slot available when he comes in for his next cycle in March. Last night's chemo didn't get running until nearly 10o'c, so not much sleep until about 4am - yawn yawn!!!
Hi Brad & Rich,How you doing today sweetheart?you wasnt to good yesterday was you.Rich tells me hes planning to stay with you untill you are ready to go home following your heart scan monday afternoon.So...no dought you two will be getting up to no good as you always do when your together.I have a feeling that some very rude noises will be made with that stuff that looks like play doh,and some unsuspecting nurse or doc will be on the end of it.But at least old Nan wont cop it like she did with the shock pen lol. Will call you before you go home,to get an update.Thinking of you and much love as always NAN xxxxxx
Rich...Thanks for everything this week.Love you loads Mum xxxx
Hi Brad, Michaela & Richard and the rest of the clan, I really hope your getting on fine pal, sounds like you had it a touch nicer this time round with no etop and a sideroom, but I know it's still no breeze. I've been surprisingly good this bout, a bit of trouble here and there but being without a picc has sent me some lovely time at home. Starlight funded me a laptop, which has been wicked but I was completely gutted when they adjusted my therapy dates, because I notices they were no longer in sync with yours, we'll see about this Mr Whelan!! Anyways dude, good luck with this bout of chemotherapy and if I don't see you before the surgery or whatnot (I damn hope thats not the case) then i'm sure you'll have a dogs day out for surgery :). All the best. Si.
