Hello Everyone, once again i've had to blag a computer to borrow to post this, so sorry if I haven't replied to any emails recently.

Bradley is doing absolutely brilliantly, I bought him home from hospital on Monday afternoon after having his PICC line removed and getting the all clear from the physio's. He almost gave me and his dad a heart attack trying to show off at the hospital by rolling down a hill in his wheelchair and then not being able to stop as he approached the road - he really scared himself too, so hopefully he won't do that again!!!!

He's been given loads of mobility aids by the physio's to help him get around the house, but he's a determined guy and he's doin most things just with the crutches and managing to bear some weight through his better leg. His wound on his left leg has healed very well, and he has an awesome scar to show off. His other leg is now in a cast that goes from toe to thigh but has a hinge in the middle so that he can bend it which is a lot easier, this will probably be on for approx another 6 weeks when he will go back to see Mr Briggs at RNOH.

We are waiting to see how Bradley does with this last round of chemo, it is a lower dose and a different package of chemo, so we don't yet know whether it will affect him the same as before regarding neutropenia, hopefully it won't and he'll have an easier 8 cycles than the last 6.

Between Rich and I we have some photo's which we need to load onto the computer then we can put some of them onto the blog - they're not too bad to look at - no blood or yuk!!!

Must go now, will update again sometime, hopefully get internet running soon at home.

Bye Mikki and Brad and gang.

Hi Brad and family, glad to see you are doing well with the op recovery, its good to know that dratted thing is out. I've been away for almost two weeks and nowhere near a computer (in the wops of Australia) How long before the picc line goes back in? Its good that they took it out I think, those line infections are near impossible to clear. Hope the re-insertion goes well. You're on teh home run now - go Brad!

Hi,Sorry I haven't been able to update this as much as i'd have liked, still no computer at home. Everything has been going fabulously at home, Brad is doing so well and has managed to stay out of hospital for the first round ever, his counts did go a little low over the neutropenic period but nothing like they used too, he has felt fine and it has been an absolute joy to have him home for the full 3 weeks!!!

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to ring and to come and see Brad to keep his spirits up, special thanks to Jack, Jake, Sam, Jamie for the weekend band sessions, and to everyone who came for drinks on Saturday, it was lovely to see you all, thanks again.

I've been trying to find places to take Bradley to get him out most days, it's quite hard to entertain him everyday, yesterday and today me and Rhi have been 'Pit Crew' for Brad and his every growing Scalextric track, we end up building it under his instructions of "put that bit there, no not that bit, that bit etc etc" He's very demanding.

His blood counts this Wednesday showed that he is fully recovered and is ready for cycle 8 and hopefully a new PICC line too, the other one was taken out due to infection. We'll update again asap, bye for now, Mum XXXXXX

Hi, Cycle No.8 went well, tolerated it ok with only a little bit of sickness on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Still no new PICC fitted, hopefully they'll get one done for him before his next round so he doesn't get quite so tied up in the peripheral lines. We are meeting with Mr Briggs again at the end of the month so hopefully the cast will come off then, so he'll then be able to start working hard with the physio to get his leg working properly again. He's doing so well with getting around that i'm sure it won't be long till he's back on the drums.
